Greg Neppl grew up in Spirit Lake, IA.  Construction has always been in his blood, even from the time he was little.  Growing up, he was often found building projects out of the scrap pile in his parent’s garage.  Greg spent his high school years working for Bill Eich Construction, a local contractor in the Iowa Great Lakes area.  It didn’t take long for him to realize that construction was his passion and the career path he wanted to pursue.  Greg received his Associate of Applied Science degree in Architectural Design & Building Construction (ADBC) at Mitchell Technical Institute (MTI) in Mitchell, SD.  Upon graduation, he worked at Morton Buildings and Puetz Corporation before returning to MTI as an instructor in the ADBC program, the same program in which he received his degree.  He taught in higher education for six years, was the Leader of the Construction Division, took on the role of SkillsUSA Advisor and received an Excellence in Instruction award in 2011.  Greg and his wife, Amanda, live in Mitchell with their two dogs, Izzie and Maddie.  They enjoy traveling, camping and boating with family.  In Greg’s free time, he can be found volunteering at the Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity, Mitchell Wrangler Committee and on several committees for the Home Builder’s Association of the Sioux Empire.  When he is not volunteering, Greg enjoys dirt track racing, golfing, hunting and fishing.
